This page leaves the Harbor. Links here go out to the open internet — streaming sites, GitHub, recursive.eco. Set things up here, then send the kids back to the Harbor, which stays self-contained.

1 · The Movie Companion ↗ browser extension

Pauses any movie at moments you choose and shows a conversation card — a kid question, a tap-quiz, and a note for you with the mythology behind the scene. Works on anything that plays video in the browser. No tracking, nothing leaves your computer.

Unzip it somewhere permanent.
Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right).
Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
Pin the icon, open your movie, press play.

Comes with companions for Moana (Discussion, Real Legends told at sea, Repair Lens), Frozen, and KPop Demon Hunters (Discussion + Repair Lens each). Pick the movie and theme in the extension popup. Preview the Moana cards without the movie, or read them in kiosk mode.

2 · Your movies ↗ your own purchases

Paste the link to where your family bought or streams each film (YouTube, Disney+, Netflix...). It is saved only in this browser — no accounts, nothing uploaded. The WATCH button opens your copy; have the companion pinned and it takes over from there.

These links are yours alone. The shared story materials never include links to purchased content — only to official, public pages.

The Family Watch channel — companions and stories shared to the commons, starting with Moana.
Your studio — sign in to see your own channel and grammars, copy any commons companion, and make it yours (change the questions, the timestamps, the language).
